Elliott Hasler is the 24-year-old director of "Vindication Swim", a stunning period sports biopic premiering in US theaters October 17th. The film tells the true story of Mercedes Gleitze, the first British woman to swim the English Channel, facing skepticism and physical extremes for recognition in 1927, a tale of grit, endurance, and social defiance. Elliott began writing the script at 18, spent three years shepherding the project, including 30 days filming in open water, and weathered a year of post-production to bring it to life. His approach is bold and authentic, earning him the nickname "the British Spielberg."
